      FFL Transfer Questions

I recently purchase a firearm from a gun shop in another state. I went to pick it up from Premeir Arms in Brownsburg. They informed me that they need at least 5 days to process it as well as AN INVOICE. Which I am told by who I purchased from they do not need an invoice to process the...

Looking for some advice from current FFL 01 licensees

Hey INGO, I applied for my FFL 01 back in January and finally got the phone call today. I have been reading, and reading, and re-reading the ATF guidelines to prepare for the interview. My local agent called me this morning and scheduled my interview for Monday morning. For those of you that...

What Do You Like / What Ticks You Off About FFLs?

I recently received my FFL (firearms dealer license),assuming that this would be a good time, rather than later, considering thedark clouds forming over Washington and many state capitals. Shooters seem to have a love-hate relationship with manyFFLs; perhaps more the latter. So, it would...

Purchasing a rifle at auction question.

I'm going to try and purchase a rifle at a local auction. Will I need to have that sent to a local gun shop to pick it up or will I be able to take it with me if I have a LTC and not have a gun dealer be involved. Just need to know the right way to handle this if I do purchase one.

      Question for our FFLs

OK, so a quick question for our FFL holders who have shops... I'm assuming that all of the employees in a gun store do not need to have an FFL... is this correct? If the employee does not hold an FFL, I'm assuming that they can sell a firearm, just cannot do the final sign-off on it? Any help...

Private Sales- How much would be "Too Much"?

Was conversing with a fellow INGO member yesterday and it was brought to my attention that I do quite a few buy/sell/trade private transactions. So, I was wondering what are the rules/limits, if any, to private activity before it would be considered illegal not having an FFL? Anybody have an...

      FFL hold-up

This morning a co-worker told me of a conversation that he had with a friend that works at a gun shop North of Indianapolis (I will not disclose the name). He was told that the shop can no longer sell firearms because their FFL renewal is sitting on a desk somewhere held up like many, many other...

      4473 FORM

Most everyone on this forum has purchased firearms using FFL's and private sales. Has anyone ever purchased a firearm from a FFL that the 4473 form you filled out was NOT called in or E-Checked (on-line) by the dealer while you were present? This is not a witch-hunt guys, but someone I know...

Is it really this hard to get an FFL?!?!

Every time I talk to somebody about getting my FFL, the first question out of their mouth is "DO YOU HAVE A STORE FRONT?" This is followed by a frown when I say "NO". I know in Fishers I am within the zoning laws as long as I don't get involved in RETAIL sales in my home. This does not seem to...

Is it worth getting a Class I FFL license?

Hey All, Looking for advice on getting a Class I FFL license. Is it worth it? Are there hassles and annual costs involved? How to get a FFL?

To start I did do a search for FFL, Class 3, and checked the FAQs. I'm trying to figure out if I can, and if so how to go about getting a FFL. I've done a large amount of searching the web, I can find information about it but it seems to be dated. Also many many many... forum threads about...

      Gun Confiscation Theoretical Question

It is commonly said that if the day came when Big Brother decides to confiscates guns, they will do so by first collecting all the sales records from FFL gun dealers, which are legally required to be kept for 10 years (I think). Once the records are in the hands of the Government, they can go to...
