      1911 at home gunsmith's

      Any one around indy area have experience building or doing custom work on 1911. I got a few projects i want to do and was looking for some local help, and tools I might need?

      from what i can tell is that they were never staked at all in too the frame, i looks like they were just red locktite in their. the piece dont seem to have any marks on them as if they were flaired at all.

      the m1 always a crowd pleaser

      at atterbury range today shooting the old M1 as soon i pull it out and send a few rounds down range. you can allways here people talking trying to figure out what it is, then when i shoot the 8th round and then it goes (ping) yep its an M1. this allways make me laugh to my self, im surprised...

      i have a m1 and i was out shooting it today and i have noticed many times that the gas tube plug under the end of the barrel loosens up when i shoot, dose any one that uses m1 have any sugestions what i should do or what you have done to fix this ?
