My wife has the Sig 238 and just put about 300 rounds through it, and most of that was on Sunday in the rain. It shoots great! The single action trigger is great, when compared to the double action, such as S&W BG. She loves it and can't wait to go shoot again.
I had this happen to my XDM 9mm and it was due to some reloaded ammo I had bought. I was all kinds of mad, and my Dad took and slammed it against a wooden post and the round popped out. I checked the rest of the ammo with just the barrel and there were several that were swelled and would not...
The only thing we don't know in a defensive encounter is how many shots it will take to stop a threat. Why should the government say 10 rounds is all you need to defend yourself? If the threat is drugged up and full of determination, it may take 15 rounds or more to stop that threat. I for one...
I have to admit, it makes me sick to see some of the prices for mags and such, but it doesn't help people throwing the money down. That is what they call supply and demand. I just choose not to pay inflated prices, and hopefully the proposed AWB dies, and things will get cheaper. Hang in there...
My wife applied for her LTCH Tuesday following the tragedy in CT. She has a sig P238 and wants a revolver for the house. She is also signed up for a basic defensive pistol class in May.
The 238 is great gun. The SAO trigger makes the pull short and crisp. Compared to a S&W Bodyguard, the p238 is a dream to shoot. I got one for my wife and she likes that it has less recoil. Fit and finish is great too.
I was at a small show in Lebanon today, and they had PMC for $20 and $25 a box of 20. One dealer said he was selling brass at $1.50 a round and steel at $1 a round, and couldn't keep enough on his shelves. Lunacy.
Very good info, as I too would like to try to shoot clays. I think it would be great thing to do with my son. I have been wanting to ask these questions for awhile now. Thanks.
I haven't been to 1500 in about a year, and I don't think it will be any fun in January. All I need to do is find my wife a handgun for her to carry. Hopefully, the panic buying won't bleed over to handguns.
I love my Colt M4. I got mine a couple of months ago and love the way it shoots. Can't go wrong with a Colt. I know you can build one cheaper, and with the same quality, but I just wanted a Colt.
Great show. My 8 year old is dying to go hunt anything, thanks to this show. Looks like I need to figure out how to hunt. Si - God's grocery store, open 7-24.
