Pesticides applied (ticks are already bad this year).
    Grass seed applied.
    Fertilizer applied.
    Some low spots leveled.
    Mowed.
Relaxin' with a fine bourbon, ballgame, and making sure this recliner doesn't float away.
Hoping the kid and his buddy have grown enough to shoulder the youth rifle to get them out shooting this summer. I can tell they had a growth spurt. Then I'll just need 3 more new shooters to get to the range to meet my yearly goal.

Define this "fine" bourbon of which you refer.

I'm in need of some myself.

    Mowing the lawn was yesterday.

Today I did the weed & feed on about 1/2 of the lawn near the house. Used the hedge trimmers to cut open the left upper of one of my favorite pairs of leather hiking shoes (not on purpose). All of my toes remain intact.

Also tilled about 1/3 of the garden. Also sprayed roundup down the stone staircase that leads down to aforementioned garden. Which required the hedge trimmers and a chainsaw to clear enough just to get into it with the sprayer. We are reclaiming the old garden, it's down a hillside from the house, not a very convenient location, but it is a nice area and hasn't been used for 5 or so years. It is about 30' below the house. Grass slope leads to a stone path, that leads to a flat area above the garden. Consequently the stone stairway has been less than properly tended. That is changed as of now. The plants overgrowing the stairway are largely cut down, removed and the remaining weeds are now succumbing to the poison that I sprayed on them. The flat area at the base of those stairs is an old bluestone walkway, which is totally covered over with grass. That is all being reclaimed. There is also a bluestone path that goes around the side of the old garden shed and a small patio area for the swing. Trying to reclaim all that but it might be easier to dig it out and reset it all? Right now I'm waiting for the toxic brew of herbicidal chemicals to work its magic so I can actually find all the bluestone... which is under the grass in that photo.

Also got a 4' long branch stuck in my 72" finish mower, which I assure you, creates quite a ruckus, makes lots of belt smoke and even vibrates (think shaken baby syndrome) an entire 6000#+ tractor. But I did manage to get some mowing done in the fields, out around the burn pile, etc. I'll probably be installing a new belt soon. Something tells me that all the squealing and smoke that was made by that belt didn't do much to enhance its lifespan.

Spring workouts have arrived… damn my lower back is sore. Front beds are mostly cut in and mulched… been a couple years.
    I know the feeling.

Wild Turkey 101 seems to be the cure for the springtime exercise routine.
The wife does all that work here :rockwoot:

I vaguely remember those days. I think I was doing it wrong though, light on the exercise and heavy on the Wild Turkey!

Tylenol with a shot of coffee is my go-to nowadays.

I am impressed with everything you guys are getting done though. I finally got my gutters done today after work.

I have a Wild Turkey test. If your XYZ bourbon can pass 101, not buying it. A lot of TX and others fit this profile. Kinda my scale.

    Generally speaking I'm a fan of Maker's Mark.a

Under $30 and a very good taste profile.

If a whisky (or whiskey) costs $60, then it better be twice as good as MM. Wild Turkey 101 is even cheaper, not actually better, but certainly under-appreciated. I still use Makers Mark as the standard by which I judge all bourbon. Ive got Pappy, I've got George T Stagg, I've got many other ultra-premiums. But Makers Mark sets the real standard.

He/she/it apparently lives North of US30.

    So no. Not welcome.

He/she/it is probably a raccoon hating Jedi loving, Gaston Glock fanboy who likes LEGOS and BARBIES instead of real toys like Playmobil and Thomas the Tank Engine.

We don't need him/her/it/whatever here. Jedi can welcome him/her/it/whatever here.

We the people with common sense, who live South of US30 don't need that gender neutral (or gun neutral) crap down here in the land of clean air an common sense. We love our 1911's, our 45ACP, and our laws that favor honest tax payers. Not going to ask forgiveness for being the smart people in a nation of idiots.

Leave me alone and get off my lawn!
