I was asked for a recommendation for an electronic pistol trainer that will post results on a tablet or other screen. I am clueless, I still practice with ammo or a pellet rifle. Any recommendation or prior experience is appreciated.

I have been using an ELMS (Expert Laser Marksman System) by G Sight for a few years now. Very easy to setup and use. It involves use of your cell phone to record the results...the system centers around a laser training cartridge. This cartridge is caliber-specific and fits into the chamber of your pistol. ELMS PLUS Laser Training Cartridge: This cartridge, available in the caliber of your choice such as 9mm, .45 ACP, .380 ACP, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, or 10mm Auto. It also comes with Extra Batteries, Extra O-Rings, Manual and Case...I haven't used any other brand of trainer so I can't compare it to any other one but I am happy with it.....Hope this helps

Buy the laser cartridge in your caliber on Amazon and go with Mantis or iTarget.

About six years ago I bought the G-Sight bore laser for my Browning .380 ACP. It worked great, probably did over 4,000 trigger pulls with it. Wore out a set of o-rings. I found all the bore lasers to be pretty identical. I used the software on my Android phone, I tried several different brands of software, they all work with any laser. I settled on Itarget. I more than doubled the number of live fire shots in the x ring practicing with the bore laser. Really helps with flinch and increase your grip strength.
