Still undecided on my path of travel from the far northwest corner... 41 south, 231, or trying to head toward ft wayne then south or maybe skate through the middle and around the east side of indy.

Evansville totality is 3:03. I have thought about driving 45 minutes north to Vincennes which is a minute longer but if crowds are what they say they will be, forget it.
Finally a Time as to when it is going to happen. So need to be looking for it around 1500 on the 8th of April.

Think I'll try to record it with my cellphone if it's not cloudy.

I get what you mean for the people that are traveling from all over, but I'm gonna be bummed. :(
I am convinced that this holds some significant meaning for the End Times. It`s hilarious to me that people are so eaten up over this event, but the Bible declares that
    Genesis 1:14,

    14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

Oh, I haven't seen anybody doing that, so that didn't occur to me. But we get total eclipses all the time. It's just that only a relatively small area of the earth gets to be in the path of totality for each one.

I just want to see it because I think it'll be cool.

    I spent $19.21 for a 12 pack of the special glasses! :):
Just save them until the next one.

    Oh, wait... :):

On a related funny. Back in '17 I thought to myself, I need to put these glasses in a safe place so I dont lose them. I can use them again in 2024.

Technically they are not lost. I just dont remember where I put them. :):

For Christmas this year, instead of more stuff they don't really need we got the girls tickets to a concert(Kane Brown, Tyler Hubbard, Parmalee) in Buffalo NY on April 6. Originally couldn't figure out why hotels were so expensive...I mean it's just Buffalo, then I clicked that it was because of the eclipse. We are considering a detour to Niagara on the 7th but worried it will be crazy with eclipse travelers. My parents have a place over near Lakeside Ohio, so we are going to meet them there Sunday and stay for the eclipse on Monday. Already have a few alternate routes planned out incase the turnpike is backed up.

Knowing Indiana weather, it'll end being cloudy. It is April after all, a rainy season for us.:tantrum:
As of tonight, WTHR is calling for "high clouds", whatever that means (and it's too early to know with any kind of accuracy). Then again, we were supposed to get heavy rain last night and we didn't get a drop. I'll wait until around noon on Monday for any kind of forecast to be reliable.

What the **** is going on. Twitter is going crazy about this eclipse stuff. All I am reading is stuff about earthquakes.

Sorry, not buying the state of emergency because a few extra people are coming into the state and the Holiday Inn Express' are filling up. This entire thing is just weird.

Could be the clouds will dampen some of the problem. Im pessimistic they’ll clear out enough in time for the show.

My weather app says "partly cloudy" and 63. Clouds would screw it up, but 63 is nice bike riding weather. I'm up in NWI, but I could zip down 41 to Terrible Haute on the bike to see it if the weather holds out. Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to watch youtube videos of it.

Be cool to see and all, but I can always see the dark during the nuclear winter once the dems get us into WWIII.
