My daughter trashed my 2017 Polaris Sportsman 450 three years ago while riding with friends. I told her it was her responsibility to fix it and it sat until two weeks ago when I finally decided I wanted to use it again. I had to replace the rear brake master cylinder reservoir (it was cracked) so I went ahead and put a new rear master cylinder on it as well. I'm waiting on a front master cylinder gasket as it's leaking but I've got it running at this point. Going to change the fluids and possibly the spark plug if I can get to it without removing the gas tank.

Took it out on the road today and the tires are shot. I'm not really surprised as three of them sat flat for three years though they're all holding air fine right now. They've got some bad flat spots in them and things get really interesting above 30mph. Does anyone have any recommendations on an affordable brand/vendor for ATV tires? I'm running a 27x9-12 in the rear and a 26x8-12 in the front, if that's wrong I'd love to know before I buy a new set as these were on it when I bought it from Flat Out Motorcycles. It'll be used 99% of the time on my 14 acres so I don't need anything super aggressive. I wouldn't be opposed to used if someone has decent set laying around they'd like to part with.

Had to replace tires on the feed cart it was during the COVID time frame, no one had them. I put inner tubes in for about 8 months to get me through.

The point being if you have to do it, tubes may last 8 months or so to give you some breathing room for you to find what you want/need.

I don't think tubes are going to help get the tires back to round. They're holding air fine, they've just got severe flat spots.

Just about any cheap brand will work as long as you don’t drive much on the pavement. That’ll eat them up real quick

As far as tire size goes , it should have the same height tire all the way around. You're asking for trouble with different height tires.

I personally like the Tusk brand tire. I currently run the Terrabyte on my Sportsman and Ranger. They also make a Megabyte , which is a little more aggressive but I have had no issue with the Terrabyte. They are an 8 ply radial and tough. I was constantly plugging factory tires but have not yet had to with the Tusk.

I do a fair amount of road riding as well and they are about the smoothest and quietest tire I've been around. My ranger tires have 2,000+ miles and look to be well over 50% and the Sportsman has about 600 miles on them, they still look new.

I honestly never knew I had different height tires on this machine front and back until a few days ago. I'm planning to correct that with the replacement set for sure.

Currently sitting in Muncie waiting to pick up a set of 25x10-12 rear and 25x8-12 front wheels and tires. Hopefully this will give the ATV some power back, I’ve always felt it was struggling a bit to
    get moving.

Well it's back to stock shoes once again and I have to say it likes it. It definitely has more go off the line and is noticeably easier to steer. Isn't gonna win any sexy ATV awards but it'll do everything I need to to. Installed a new (to me) rear drop basket yesterday and a new front rack bar today. I've got a winch mount coming Thursday and plan to pick up a HF Badlands winch and install that as well.

Not that it really matters but the tread rotation doesn't match front to rear. Looks like if you swap the fronts from side to side they would be correct.

    .
Wondered the same thing. Those look like good tires, I live on hilly ground and don't have anything more aggressive than that.

Continuing on my maintenance/revival process....I've tried to bleed the brakes six times now. I was previously unaware than Satan had designed this system but it is abundantly clear now. Who needs brakes anyway, it slows down pretty well when you release the throttle.

The stockers are lighter, hence the pep in the step. Thats why I won't get anything too heavy. I do tow a lot of weight from time. I don't need it fighting the tires too!
