I never had to do anything when my daughters were dating. If their boyfriends got past my wife I knew they were OK.

I did go pick up my oldest daughter from a party she went to after school when she was a 14 year old high school freshman. She promised there was adult supervision, we said OK have the adult call us when you get there. After not getting the call I tracked down the party and went in and pulled my daughter out. Party was not supervised and there was under age drinking. She got to come straight home from school for a month and stay there until school the next day. Think Uncle Buck getting his niece in the movie.

I have a great sense of humor, what isn't humorous is ****ing with an adolescent in that manner.

Nothing says loving dad like threatening to rape your daughter's date.

    Y'all are weird.

    :):
Msg got delivered. Your feelings were not considered.
How is that "protecting his daughter"...please be specific. I have a 15 year old daughter.

I would like to understand how implying you will murder a minor is acceptable.
    Relax Frances.
Yep, if one of my sons came home and told me some of whats posted above happened to one of them, shortly we would have a conversation on their front porch.
And you'd probably go home disappointed and possibly in handcuffs. Don't be emotional about it.

I thought I had a good plan. When my daughter was 13, I made several videos of her doing handgun drills. Was going to show them to any boy she brought home and tell him that I taught her to do that, if you break her heart, Ill finish what she starts. Fast forward. She only brought 1 boy home when she was 17. I just asked the boy what time he was planning on having her home. That's all it took to scare the s**t out of him. I was so disappointed. Now she is 20 and that was the only boy she brought home. Still have the videos. lol

If one of my boys came home and told me his date's dad had done any one of the things in this thread, or even worse, I would have laughed and said "thats a good dad right there."

And as to the comment about "threatening to murder an adolescent" - brother, if anyone, of any age were to hurt one of my girls or take advantage of them, murder should be the least of their concerns. There are way worse things that can be done to a human body.

When my son in law came to ask my blessing to marry my daughter, I had a good long conversation with him. At the end of our conversation, I looked him square in the eyes and said "I am entrusting her to you, but she will always be my little girl. You will have fights, and you will have things to figure out, but know this - if you ever raise your hand to her, you will have me to deal with. I have lived a good life and raised 4 good kids, and I am not afraid to spend the remainder of it in prison." And let me tell you, he knew I meant it.
