I know you read that as if Hammer and Nigel were saying it.

Saw something today that caught my eye and I know next to nothing about rocks other than this didn't look like anything else surrounding it.

    Found near a creek.

That appears to be a granite sharpening stone from the Beech Grove Indian tribe. But Beech Grove dried up 10,000 years ago, so it's unlikely an authentic artifact would be found in a creek. It's probably a fake. If it is real, it would be illegal to own. We're just not going to be able to make a deal on it. Thanks for bringing it in.

First, "there are no straight lines in nature."
But even those straight edges are still kinda curved. Looks accidental/natural to me.

Like listening to them on the way home from work. Although, Nigel (when he is there) gets annoying sometimes. As for the rock, not sure it is anything special…sorry.

    Hard to say......

but if I was guessing I'd say it's a Potawatomie kid's pet rock....his dad saw it, found out what his son, Two Dogs Humping paid for it and then threw it away as far as he could...

Indiana is full of geologic wonders and that is a very old rock....
