    I just found out.

He was taking care of her for three weeks so she could see the great grand kids. Found out he left her home alone after lunch so he could have a Christmas meal with girlfriend and her kids. He won't be back till 10pm.

I'm two hours away, I would have dropped all if she or him told me this earlier today. For those who asked. I was playing phone tag with her to talk on the phone. The kicker is she had an allergic reaction the day before and he still left her.

Hopefully mom is good all the way through this.

Assuming the above, you've learned a valuable lesson about your brother. Going forward, you can act accordingly.

Don't fool around and have your brother show you again and again. We all love our family, but can't let that get in the way of knowing who they really are.

So true, and the rest of sibling are now saying the same thing. You are very wise.

The overwhelming feeling of guilt if I were to have done that would preclude me from doing it.

I wish I could tell you all that we have discovered from this one event that opened so many eyes. Some of you know I deleted a post about this same family member. It's beyond belief what the family member continues to do.

If this crap happens in your family, confront them and make them correct the problem. Don't hide it from your other siblings because it only gets worse with time.

What a horrible start to the new year!

In my opinion, Family is something dictated by loyalty, not blood. I have friends that I will always welcome into my home, while a small few of my blood relatives I will tell to GTFO of my property.
