    • Yes, we will be at the Indy 1500...we should be in the main room. I'm not exactly sure where, but you can look for our banner..."Brad's Knives & Knife Lady". I hope to see you there.
Thanks for the info. It's been a long time since I've seen the Daniel Day Lewis version of The Last of the Mohicans, but this guy's appearance reminds me of one of the bad guys in that movie. Probably because both the picture and the movie used available research on the Algonquins for authenticity.
My avatar is a copy of a painting I wanted to buy in Sante Fe, but was too expensive and too large. The painting is an imagined likeness of an Algonquian indian who was captured by the Spanish, taken to Spain, and raised by the Jesuits. The took him back to America as a young man in his twenties, fully "civilized" to convert other Indians. He promptly led them to their slaughter, and reverted back to his tribe. Kind of like his dedication to freedom and rejection of coercion.
I was really reluctant about him (although I voted for him in the Primary and General elections), but his first Inaugural Address moved me and I was so proud of him after 9/11 I could hardly stand it. He disappointed me with a number of his domestic policies, but there I think he got a lot of bad advice (especially at the end). As a Commander In Chief, he ranked right up there with Reagan.
Thats a cool story. I will say I disagreed on a few political issues but I have yet to find a man who inspires such confidence. The speech he gave about being with us or against us......... probably in the top 5 most memorable moments of my life. Sitting there listening to it just thinking that I would do everything in my power to hunt those filthy SOBs down. One heck of a good man, worthy of much more than he got.
Washington DC, better treatment for ptsd Nam vets. And you know damned well nothing happened from it.
I'm free either night whatever works best for u. Just give me a time and location, and I'll be there. I'm west of indy.
The P-11 was NIB when we bought it. Came with cardboard box, manual, single mag. We have a S&W 13 rd mag as a spare. We both work until @ 1700, but can probably make it happen Monday eve, if that's acceptable. You'll need to walk me through this since I haven't bought or sold a weapon FTF before. If you want, you can call me on my cell: 317-332-1982. Wife & I have a couple appointments today where phone can't be answered, but if you leave a msg I will call back ASAP. Otherwise, I will continue to check the forum.
I hate to say it, but you and I don't always agree on every topic, but I won't hesitate to contradict you where I disagree and defend you when I think you're correct. I don't know if that qualifies in your book as "flip-flopping". Now DownZero and Rambone I'm starting to consider to be "douches" because they appear to like to **** on other people's proposed solutions without proposing solutions of their own. They're going to have to get me pretty pissed off before I'll say that to them (or anyone else) publicly; I'll go PM first. To be honest, I did get pissed enough to call them out, but either I didn't hit "Post Message", or it got deleted.
