Most of us are too young to remember the day when you would go to the store, place an order, and wait for the shop keeper to fill your order to take home. I think it was Piggly Wiggly that was the first one that allowed the customer to go in and select their own goods. I wonder if people complained about “I don’t work for them” back then too.
Given the shoplifting problem in cities, I would no be surprised to see a return to this model of operation. Actually, it may have already begun in some locations.

Walgreens is doing it in some locations where they have communist revolutionary types as DA’s.

So what this acknowledges is that the ghetto ways are coming to suburbia…
One would think that with Walmart having some stores with 2 million plus a year in shrink, it would have already been put in place with those stores.
An I would add that Meijer in Marion store the gas station sales store has its doors locked before the station closes.
I also believe we will see more robberys in small towns with stores like Family Dollar and Dollar General. With them having two or less employees working at a time.

I saw where UPS cited decreased package volume as the reason for the layoffs not increased labor costs.

Sometimes I think INGO believes survival of the fittest doesn't apply. If I can pay 10 people to do the same work as 15 people, shouldn't I lay off 5 people and pay the other 10? Do I owe jobs to the 5 people?

Did UPS rates go up so much due to labor that volume went down? Did package volume go to a competitor?

What evidence is there to tie the increased labor costs to layoffs?

Other than well everyone knows that xxx means yyy.

This past weekend my family ate at Steak and Shake in Bloomington before the Women's game. It was the first time I had been to one in years.
I was surprised that the only way to order food was through a kiosk. It then printed out your receipt and a ticket for the drink counter. You had to scan the ticket to make the fountain dispense your drink.

As far as I could tell there were only two employees, on running the grill and one running the fryers and preparing plates. It really went very smoothly after my parents god over their fear of computers lol. It was my first time in a place like this. I know Mcdonalds has kiosks, but they still have people taking orders if you don't want to use them.

I went to the one in Franklin last year, and it was like that, though it was super slow and nobody was there.

The problem was I went to steak ‘n Shake with the desire to have a quasi sit down dining experience with a server.

I can go to Freddy’s And have a better experience and the same food.
