My much loved Kershaw Leek broke (user induced abused). The question I wrestle with is to replace it with a Leek or a Civivi Elementum?

I've been tempted by some of the new manufacturers from China, and they get good reviews. However, that CIVI has a D2 blade, and you don't want that ! :nono: D2 has to be kept oiled, or even a humid day will start the rust.

I’m a low maintenance guy. That won’t do.

The Leek has a great reputation. I'd probably own one, but they don't make it in left-handed.
You should pick your own color, obviously, but why not upgrade to the new sought after steel. It's like $35 more than the standard model.

I have both and like the Leek better.
This is the one I have. Nothing wrong with it. I just like the Leek better it fits my needs and I like the design better.
I like the Elementum it's a nice looking knife, and it will get the job done, but the Leek just feels better, fits better etc

How about a new Leek with premium steel (Magnacut), and a blue fade handle !?!

    Bradford Guardian 3.2 Magnacut steel.
They are in the process of making more said it will be a few months. I'm patiently waiting.
Blue makes a nice looking knife.
I've got @Edged Tools on the lookout for me.

    Morning all... :coffee:

    After noon CZickos,
Wanted to share my experience with HBI/HB industries.
So last year I got a HBI trigger for my P10c because I had shot my friends P10s that had them and I really like them. Well After my installation everything seemed fine but after a while I started getting some weird problems I couldn't figure out (Won't even get into that). So I finally emailed HBI this week (roughly 6 months later) to inquire if they had anyone with similar issues. It seems they did not and I might have a lemon of a trigger. They said they really wanted to check it out so I will be swapping my stock one back in and sending it to them for a new one they test fitted before sending out. The replacement and shipping for both it and mine I'm sending is free which is nice. It is unfortunately USPS which I'll just bite my tongue about. Overall though HBI was very fast to respond and offered everything for free. They even offered to take a look at my P10 for free if the replacement trigger doesn't fix the issue. So I'd say I'm pretty satisfied with their customer service and definitely recommend the HBI trigger to any one with a P10 that is interested in them. Even with the problems I had and went through.

So anyway that's my interaction with HBI this week looks like everyone else is having some fun.
Here's my Kershaw launch 1 made in USA I bought for $80 off my friend new. I love this thing. View attachment 330142

I really like the HBI triggers. I have had or have them in about 4 or 5 guns (I've had a lot of P10C's). My current P10C (non-OR) has an HBI trigger and it works well. I've never had an issue with them and I'm curious what they find with your situation. My carry P10C OR has the new CGW trigger in it and I find it comparable to the HBI trigger.

I've been spending more time in the darkroom lately. One of the things I've been having fun with is finding old negatives to print. Some have turned out quite nice given the age and lack of care the negatives have had. This is a shot from about 1988 while I was working at UAL on the widebody overhaul line. We were bringing a Flying Tigers 747 freighter into the dock that night. This was shot at about 3am or so.

I'm happy with how well it came out in a frame.
