Now that xmads is over you boys need to start thinking of v-day.

Look roses that will never die.
I used to give roses. Then the wife found out the mark up on vday. She said don't buy her those anymore and instead put that money towards an nice meal, item, or event.
We also celebrate on the day before to avoid lines and people. We've done this for years and lends to a better dining experience.

Will be using it for chicken. I get 99% of my beef and pork by buying 1/2 cow and whole pig at a time and that comes already vacuum sealed from the processor.

Besides chicken ill use it for rice, beans, flour, sugar, etc., as well as ammo...lol.

I am curious to try out the various vacuum containers for marinating meats as well
Who do you get your beef from? Not sure if our butcher will vacuum sealed, but never asked. We portion it then freeze it. Does he seal it in portions you request?

I'll have to check what processor is used. My daughter coordinates the buying as we get the meat from a Rochester cop and shes a dispatcher. Believe it's processed around there somewhere

Yes. It comes packaged in the portions we request.

Every butcher we've ever gotten a side of beef from will cut and portion it the way you ask. That is what you are paying them for after all.

They also freeze it before we get it. The only difference is the way it is packaged. If it is packaged well, you don't need the vacuum packing. Some do that better than others though.
