    No, you didn't.

There are more current articles that quote the same percentage, but I'm not going to take more time to prove my statement is correct. Feel free to come up with proof that I'm wrong.
    Just used 2022 figures.
Still over 10%. Look, you can clutch your pearls all you want. You were fed Propo and you fell for it. I just spent the last 10 minutes finding all the numbers which are public and it's way over 4-5%. Union Propaganda meant to misdirect and culture sympathy for a bunch of ****ing mobsters tricking working people.

EDIT, I checked ford. Ford numbers are more than 4-5%. I get free I'll dig up GM.

Two different news sources stating 5%. So far, your rebuttal offers no proof.

I see the average per hour pay for teachers is $21.00/ hour. School bus drivers get $18.00/ hour. The average construction worker gets a little over $24.25. The average carpenter gets just under $24.50/ hr. Cops get $26.60/ hr. How much do UAW auto workers get per hour on average?

You want to ignore math, fine.
    Ford average salaries
    Ford employees 2022
Ford average transaction price per vehicle
    Ford Sales 2022

So, 173000 employees (earlier source listed both 2021/2022 and I mistakenly picked the wrong one).
Average salary and compensation (health care, 401k etc) $126,861

Now, I know you're a union boi and math may be new to you but to get the cost of compensation here, you multiply the number of employees by the average salary. That is $21.95Billion (I round to 22).

Average transaction per vehicle for 2022 was 54k, and they sold a total of 4.2Million cars. So again, you multiply the two together and get $226 Billion.

Then you divide the cost of compensation by total sales and get your percentage of 10.27%.

Thankfully salaried non union Big 3 people work for free
And those numbers are only UAW employees, not management. So I can guarantee you that labor cost is a helluva lot higher than 4-5% no matter how much you want to ignore the facts. Royal you again and not you specifically.

Where did you find those numbers at,
    I wish they were true.com

IMPD starts and just under $72,000 . Thats what 42 bucks before OT
LE has some awesome PERF packages.

How much does a Public School Teacher make in Indiana? The average Public School Teacher salary in Indiana is $55,671 as of August 27, 2023, but the range typically falls between $46,486 and $67,898. Not bad for what 180-190 days of work.

Seems Skilled Union Trades are a good deal.

Uaw retirees have not seen their pension change in 17 years...
No one pays pensions anymore. I haven't worked for an employer that's payed a pension in >20 years. Time for unions to face the music. Pensions are a turd for companies.

I was listening to one of the Union bosses this morning on the TV. One thing I agree with them about is that the pay for the top executives has been insane for a long time. All of them are on each others Boards of Directors and they keep voting each other more and more money. No I am not advocating for government involvement, but I do think more public attention should be brought to it. I am old enough to remember when there would have been some embarrassment over it.

I have an old fashioned defined benefit pension. Once I retire, that pension amount is set in stone. There is no increase ever.
The wife is the last of the TRF pension here in Indiana. Starting the year after she started teaching they stopped enrolling new teachers into that program. Once she clicks the "I'm out" button that figure is fixed as well. There are no increases. Luckily it's based off 5 years when she was making big bucks out of Fishers. 80% of 92k is still decent on top of our other retirement investments.
