    Define easy
I can go to any classifieds section of the internet for my area and contact an individual selling a gun and make arrangements and meet up then pay them for gun. I'd say that's pretty easy.

I was referring to the sale through an FFL, since an FLL can deny you for acting strange.

Since private sales should have background checks/proof of not being a prohibited possessor, it is still not as easy as getting a gun illegally.

Yes, you can go around the law (as criminals do) but you now have a felony in your waistband.

I didn't see the purpose of the paper. What, EXACTLY, are you trying to learn from the paper?

I would also suggest, if possible, to collect more demographic data. Ethnicity and where they lived most their life (zip code) may also reveal a lot more about the target group.

Maybe also add in if they were raised with firearms or ever fired one?

    Good luck!

    Regards,

    Doug

Wait, what?? I disagree. That's what the liberals want though.

    I seem to have misspoke.

Yes, I think you should be able to buy a M240B on Amazon with next-day delivery.

No, I do not support a registry.

The word “should” was simply saying by Indiana law, you have to make sure you’re not selling to a prohibited possessor. How you do that I don’t think matters. That’s why everyone likes a pink card when they sell.

Well, not exactly. The law says you can not "knowingly" sell to a prohibited person. It's not up to you to prove it (ie. a background check) other than to satisfy your comfort level. A LTCH only shows that at one time they were not a prohibited person, which may or may not be the case anymore, so even that's not foolproof.

For the record, the original question I read was
"Is it too easy to get a gun here?"
I responded "No, it's not too easy to get a gun here."

I meant it's not to east in that there should not be any more restrictions on gun purchases. I was just answering the question in a complete sentence like my 2nd grade teacher taught me.

Universal background checks are unenforceable without a gun registry, which is illegal under the gun control act and the Brady bill.
Historically, a registry has been the gate to take guns from law abiding citizens, and crime goes up because no one can defend themselves.
