I have to admit when he first hit the scene my radar lit up a bit. Something about his affectations, I guess. He mostly says the right things.

I did'nt really pay too much attention to him originally but I find myself wanting to hear more from him lately. More than DeSantis at this point. The other lower tier candidates I don't really pay too much attention to.

I don't think you're alone. Headlines, for what they're worth, describe a steady improvement in 'Swamy that coincides with decline in D'tis. For me, I'm stuck wondering just what 'Swamy is really about. Peculiar past, not dirty but not very grounded, lots of moving and shifting parts with his biz life. I can't say for sure if he's telling the truth when he speaks, but it sure sounds like it's from him and he means it. When D'tis speaks, it sounds coached, poll tested and he'd like people to please clap. 'Swamy is quick witted and shoots from the hip. Right? Wrong? Dunno. But he has me listening more.

I'm not seeing him as any threat to top Trump but I can see him as a choice worthy of consideration for another position within a Trump administration. As far as I can tell Trump has a favorable opinion of him.

Yeah, he seems too 'Johnny come lately' to throw on the ticket. Certainly not top of ticket. I'm just curious how'll he'll wear when the spot light (Hate!) comes his way.

I get this vibe of a business man (corporate leader) finding his voice, and based upon a reasonably solid understanding of this Nation's founding and principals as documented in the founding documents. (I think we've seen a bit of this before in my lifetime...)

I was especially impressed by how he handled a protester at one of his events. The young woman was obviously distraught. What started out as appearing to be a heckler / protester, he not only turned into a positive for himself but a demonstration of the best ideals and behaviors of our Nation and a practical example of respectful practice of the 1st Amendment.

He stopped the audience from removing the woman. Encouraged her to come forward and speak, was polite and empathetic and thanked her for being a mother and doing all of those motherly hard things. All of this while he reinforced the ideal of respectful free speech and engagement with the electorate. His ability to pull that off with the grace and professionalism displayed by his actions and words impressed me.

He also appears to be taking an increasingly constitutionalist position. Something I appreciate. I wrote to his campaign April 24th, and noted that "My most desired behavior for a Presidential candidate is to hold a copy of the Constitution in one hand and simply state, and mean it, that they will govern in accordance with the Constitution in accordance with the oath they will take for the office. That they fully understand the declaratory and restrictive clauses of the Bill of Rights, and they will not permit violation of it on their watch and root any violation out of the Federal government from the highest to the lowest levels. If you desire to differentiate yourself from the remainder of the field of contestants, do this and mean it, and ask that those who vote for you commit to only sending those to Congress who will do likewise." While I have not witnessed him to be holding a copy of the Constitution, he has been using more of the desired words of late.

The remaining candidates, which have not held the Presidency, have little interest to me other than DeSantis. I am deeply on the fence with him, but he is probably the best of the remaining candidates. The rest (Pence, Hutchinson, even Haley) have that slight stench of the Party line politician with little spine and to little committment to the Nation's documented principals. I have had enough of that ilk, and will pass on those candidates.

Given all you've stated, assuming his approach is real, where does he land? POTUS is virtually out. Virtually. I'd like to like him more, but the 'right guy at the right time Barry Soetoro' thing kinda gives me pause. Trust but verify, I guess.

I must admit I would love to see Ramaswamy and RFKjr go third and fourth party and possibly break the two party system forever

Unfortunately, that would likely be an excited state of US politics and the ground state seems to be two parties and the system would likely settle back into that - but at least it might be two quite different parties when the dust settles

I'll admit he intrigues me. The problem is that all I have are words. Those words also seem a little too polished, a little too crafted, but who knows, maybe it's real. He says great things, but it would really be a roll of the dice. It worked out with Trump, at least with regard to policy, and I had no idea what we were going to get.
