Maybe those communists needed some speed holes.

One day people will realize freedom sometimes requires blood and sacrifice.
It's pathetic that you need armed security to protect kids singing the national ****ing anthem, to keep these communists from trying to attack them.

People need to start calling it like it is, it's a communist occupation, and the communists need to be put in ditches.

So... I already had an idea... but decided to look up Russingbrook Children's Choir anyhow.

    "OUR MISSION

To awaken and develop in Christian young people their God-given musical ability, to nurture a sense of artistry in singing, and to do all for the glory of God."

There you have it. A private Christian school. Permission was given to sing by mistake as it was later discovered the young-uns were singing for someone other than the state.

Once they figured that out, you can see the gestapo officer in the background being notified on the radio, and being told to put a stop to the insurrection before in incited violence.

Tell me we are not pretty much done as a nation...

I've never visited D.C. and I'm not sure I want to any longer. What was once an impressive demonstration of the greatest country on earth is now nothing more than a reminder of what used to be and what could have been. Besides, if I were in a public building and saw something like this going on there is a 100% chance, without any shred of doubt whatsoever that I would be in jail.

I fully support them singing the song, ESPECIALLY given the location.

However, I am a bit confused on WHO exactly gave them permission. It says that several reps were "involved," and another article I read said the reps gave permission. However, I don't believe the elected officials have the final say. That would have to come from whomever administrates the building.

Imagine several dozen reps giving permission for all sorts of stuff near the 4th of July. That would be chaos. So there had to be some sort of administrative screw up somewhere.

All that aside, I don't give a tinkers damn who gets "offended" by the singing of patriotic songs in this or any country! I was in Belgium years ago and during some sort of patriotic parade heard Belgian patriotic music. Good for them! It's their country. In this country no one should be restrained from singing any patriotic song, especially the national anthem. Again, with permission from the property administrator as scheduling allows.

    Regards,

    Doug

Im confused as to why they would need anyone's permission to sing the national anthem in the Capitol. Are we not free?

In the capital building, not just in the capital. They have rules against groups just going in there and singing without pre-approval.

    The speaker of the house.

Rasbach told The Daily Signal on Friday that a female Capitol Police officer had directed a congressional staffer to immediately put an end to the children’s performance despite having obtained permission from South Carolina Republican Reps. William Timmons, Joe Wilson and the office of the House speaker.

Capitol Police told The Post on Friday that singing is not usually allowed in the building and that officers were not aware McCarthy had approved the performance.

“Although popup demonstrations and musical performances are not allowed in the U.S. Capitol without the proper approval, due to a miscommunication, the U.S Capitol Police were not aware that the Speaker’s Office had approved this performance,” the agency said. “We apologize to the choir for this miscommunication that impacted their beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and their visit to Capitol Hill.”
