Yes, she can. A few months back, she told us that she now thinks more in English and has to sometimes pause for a moment to think in German.
She is really bilingual then. That must be nice.
I took 2 years of German in high school and 1 more year in college then I went over there and found out I didn't know anything.

Our Dasha is from Russia and Ukraine. No longer claims Russia.

Been with us now for 5+ years. Hasn't seen her family 2.5 years. She is now 21 and going to be a Senior at Notre Dame. We had no intention of having a foreign exchange student, or of having her become our other daughter, but things worked out that way.

We consider her our daughter, and, when she is frustrated with me, she calls me 'dad' (not sure that is a compliment).

You should probably find out what "dad" means in russian and ukrainian slang - just in case.

She found some Amazon deal when you buy 2. Fingers crossed.
I found it on walmart.com for $19.99. If I'm happy with it and want another one, it will be easy to find another $15.01 worth of stuff to get free shipping. I usually order grocery items that we will definitely use, like soup, pasta, flour, sugar, etc.
