I wish I could say the same, but I’m driving 40-45k miles a year. I bought my vw in winter 2020. I just rolled over 110k and that’s with it being in the shop almost 5 months. I’m going to need a new car soon.
The wife is extremely finicky. She’ll drop serious $$$ to fix any little thing. And her shop love her for it. Damn anxiety…
Plus she’s using her business to purchase it as a company vehicle.

Get a Subie Outback. I've had 4 in a row - they are never ever in the shop and they return +34 mpg and haul a ton of stuff with the seats down. You can get into one for cheap in the "Premium" model - I've did that very thing in #2 & #3 -- however, I did jump to the leathered up "Limited " this time around on #4.

    You won't be disappointed.

Gonna be a fine day here in the midwest.

80's yet again. The flower and the leaves on trees are simply BUSTING out.! So very quickly with this moderate full sunshine.

    Vitamin D incoming.

Gonna get some more sMiles today on the new iron - I plugged on the new TUSK soft bags yesterday and need to do a test romp.

Hope your day is filled with excitement and living free.!!

Our 2015 Outback just turned 140,000 on the odometer. Had to change one lower ball joint and did replace all the wheel bearing hubs. Car is a beast in the snow. Probably the best car we have had.

I still have that SAR K2 45 that I got from you. I'd say that gun punches comfortably above its price range. It was my center console gun in the BMW. Fit perfectly and the console had side opening doors instead of a rear deck lid that made access easy. Was a great design for concealment. Just hit the button and the door opened to you allowing for direct access. Those German engineers think of everything...(not my old car...just a internet pic).

BMW had a car that had a built in MP5 compartment in each door that even had a dash light to let you know that the gun door was unlatched.

Just work for 50+ years (had my first paying job at age 14), save a little from every paycheck (no matter how small), practice delayed gratification (and be a little bit of a cheapskate) and you too can retire some day.
If I start your plan now, I can still retire at 103.
