Metal grips have been around, this P-38 was made by the French right after WW2 and has stamped sheet metal grips instead of the traditional Bakelite. Initially made for the French army they were not used, but picked up by the SDECE and found their way around the world from Africa to Vietnam in places where the SDECE was active. Known as " grey ghosts" they are a nice piece of cold war history.

It is a great fit. I’ve shown my [redacted] to quite a few people and everyone, every single person, mentioned right away how much they like the grip! Friends ranging from S-XL hands, it just seems to fit everyone.
That's some signature material right there.

I went to my daughter's house last night. We had pizza, watched an episode of the new 90's Show, and installed a sunglasses holder that we'd built in my basement.
It's not in the same league as BTV's woodworking projects, but was something simple that she wanted.

She made this collage from photos taken with her phone.

I tried to watch an episode of that show. I found it difficult to look at "Donna". Don't know if it was drugs/alcohol, poor health/no maintenance or just bad plastic surgery and big veneers. She looked rough.

Your daughter looks like a young Julia Stiles in that photo. Looks like you both had a good night...
