Good Saturday morning to all. RR, many happy returns of the day for your birthday tomorrow. We have a friend who's wife has a birthday today but not so happy as their pup gets put down today. Nasty timing on that one.
Went up to the rental last night after $1200 worth of electrical parts left Lowes with me. 200' of #2 copper wire = $500. New 200A svc going in.
Hope everyone has a productive day b4 the snow. Wood indoors is on my LOTTD.(List of things to do.)

Couldn’t help myself… I already field stripped the Tisas and started polishing the feed ramps and taking measurements.

This gun is loose, but I shouldn’t be surprised for the price. Slide to frame fit is looser than my Citadel. The barrel bushing OD is .009 under the slide ID. The barrel OD is .005 under the bushing ID. Guess I’ll be getting an oversized barrel bushing for it too.

Welcome to the club. I had higher expectations of mine as well in regard to frame/slide fit. Is what it is, can't have everything at a low price point. They are serving their purpose for me, learning tools.

I'd like to learn more about that era of firearms and jump in.
Best thing to do is get an open top repro, 1851, 1860 or Dragoon as they are the easiest to keep clean. Accuracy is better out of top strap guns like the 1858 or Whitney.

I've sent my morning cracking open and fixing a piece of equipment that was sent to me for a cell survey I'm scheduled to do. What a pain. Picked this thing up yesterday at the UPS store and they charged me $5 for the pick up. Grrrrrrrrr guess who will never darken their door again.
