So…what’s the end game for the freedom caucus?

The republicans need 20 or so votes to seat their guy, the democrats need 10 or so, and the MAGAs need another 400 or so…is forcing an impasse really in their best interests here? I don’t see how this works out in favor of MAGAs at all…this looks like a one-way ticket to the kiddie table to me.
I think you got it backwards. What's in it for MAGA, to stand aside and allow a non-MAGA speaker to be seated? What do they get from that? They're asking the question, and apparently the last official response from McCarthy, is "jack squat."

Unless you are happy with the same old republican leadership over the previous regime, such as John Boehner and Paul Ryan, you would want them to change.

Buttttttttttttttt, why would they change? Why would they care about conservatives when they get progressives.

To push them to change, it requires motivation, and competition.

It has to start from somewhere, they may not succeed this time, or next time, but it builds up the momentum.

One thing for sure, you will not be successful by rolling over.

This last 3 days I've seen a few people realized how wrong they were by voting straight GOP ticket in the midterm because they couldn't say they are against the demands of the Freedom Caucus puts out.

Glenn Beck talking about that word is out that McCarthy and company may hand speaker over to Jeffries. As in threatning the 20 you either vote McCarthy or we will hand it over to Jeffries. Which is that bad? Anything Jeffries passes will just get shot down and never make the Senate anyways so does it matter. Interesting if McCarthy does this. It’s that republicans rather have a democrat than a Republican Conservative.

I politely introduced myself to Rep. John Rose (R. Tenn. 6th) via email today. I voiced my disappointment in his support for Rep. McCarthy and asked at what point did he think his constituents, given Tennessee's voting record, would approve of his voting record this week.
IMHO, McCarthy is a California democrat with an "R" beside his name. Look at his behavior and voting record and convince me differently.
I have no misconceptions of McCarthy, but ironically, I now question the decision making of my representative.
I did much the same for my Rep today.

The more time they waste on this, the longer before they resume putting the screws to the American people. Far as I'm concerned they can spend the next year voting Trump, a golden retriever, or Bozo the Clown for Speaker. This is the least harmful the House has been in years.

Couldn't agree more. Nasty Pelosi is gone and it wasn't like Joe Biden and the Democrat Senate were going to let the Republican House do anything anyway.

    Send it.

I don't get this. If McCarthy is the "non-MAGA" Speaker candidate that must not be seated, why has Trump himself endorsed him for Speaker? Twice.

If McCarthy and company do this, it will prove the 20 were correct to oppose.

Trump is being a politician. He wants to go with the majority...He wants another term as POTUS.
That does not seem logical to me. There is bad blood between Trump and McCarthy, so there must be some agreement between them. Trump is far from a traditional politician. He does want to be President again.

To be honest, I don't care who Trump endorses,. I voted for him twice and would again, but never once did I need him to guide me on who I feel is good or bad for our nation's leadership. I'm starting to think 20 others in DC feel the same way, and thankfully they're the ones that matter.

20 people...fiscal conservatives ( mostly) who know very well that McCarthy will go along to get along, when the heat is on...want a Speaker who is not so tainted by the Swamp.
You all need to quit listening to the clowns in the media...(Fox included)... talking about how embarrassing all this is.
This is representative democracy. We need real change in DC.
Chip Roy, Lauren, Matt Gaetz ect, know that McCarthy is not the leader for that..

Because Trump isn't always right, and not everyone who likes Trump is in a cult.

The way I see it is him fishing for endorsements in a primary.
