The new Russian General has been attacking Ukrainian power plants. I would think this would be one of the first things you would do before invasion. I'm surprised it's taken this long to start doing that.
You minimize damage when you think it's gonna be a cakewalk, and you then have to repair it.

50 more billion for Ukraine(115 billion in 2022 alone for those not keeping track).

"The new aid would likely be attached to an omnibus spending bill. An unnamed Republican senator told NBC that the legislation would make $12 billion of Ukraine aid that was included in a recent stopgap funding bill "look like pocket change."

In both calls, Shoigu conveyed "concerns about possible provocations by Ukraine with the use of a 'dirty bomb'".

Looks like Russia setting up casus belli to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

If he was worried about dirty bombs, he'd be more careful with military operations near nuclear plants
It's to give him an excuse to use nukes.
I wouldn't put it past them to dirty bomb themselves and say it was Ukraine. Remember early in the war they were doing something secret at Chernobyl? Could have been getting the material for a dirty bomb.

I think they have better ways than that.
The amount of time and people required to do that...

Found this article. It doesn't really make any sense as to why Putin went there.
So why go there in the first place?

Saw this last night...seems the military industrial complex may get its world war yet.
It’s probably just posturing. 4700 light infantry wouldn’t make much of a difference in a mechanized conflict like Ukraine. It also would likely give the Russian troops more reason to fight. It would be a huge mistake to put US boots on the ground in that conflict IMO.
