These are areas I spent a lot of time in and considered safe. It's concerning.

For about the past decade my spidey sense has been going off in greenwood, especially around the mall.

Greenwood isn't what it used to be, and I typically steer pretty far clear of it when possible. It's about what Indianapolis was like a decade ago.

If it wasn't for our good Samaritan (hope he stays that way,) we'd want to know everything about the shooter.

It's concerning that they gave us essentially nothing on the shooter. On top of the next press conference not scheduled until 2:00pm tomorrow?

Channel 13 reported "they did some digging tonight and despite Indiana's open carry law that went into effect July 1st you actually cannot carry a gun inside Greenwood Park Mall"

    The stupidity runs deep.
When I see reporting of bad info like this, I used to assume it was stupidity. Now I see this kind of crap, I immediately assume it's subtle antigun propaganda being served with a small side dish of plausible deniability in case anyone challenges it.

Little doubt Simon Properties will ban the 22 year old Good Guy from all Simon Properties for life. I've little doubt WTHR will interview mall management and ask them what they plan on doing about the Good Guy trespassing by carrying on their property, and why they haven't had him arrested for it yet. Forgive me for being pessimistic.

Gun Free Zones have enormous targets on them for Bad Guys with firearms to exploit, knowing there will be zero or near zero armed resistance.

Why? I know it isn't pleasant, but lots of INGOers are prepared for something like this. I wouldn't want the anguish of killing someone on one of our friends, but if it was, we can all rally around and support him or her.
You asked why and then immediately gave the exact reason why. Lol. The anguish of having to kill someone.
