sometimes I think that many people can't see the forest due to the trees.

I actually think that was worth it. It did result in one term of Joe Donnelly as Senator, but he was immediately ushered out the next time. Meanwhile, we got rid of Lugar, who would have stayed there until he died. There's no guarantee with this strategy that the replacement will be better, but in the long run, I think it's better to let the "dirty underwear guys" know they can be changed, even if they have an "R" next to their name. There is no benefit without some risk.

If we always play it safe, we will always be safely played.

Maybe you are the clueless one on this topic. The RINO’s get their name by campaigning on issues to win elections but then do not hot enact the issue, or nothing to stop infringement on the issue. How many of these politicians have secure the border rhetoric in their campaigns but in DC they do nothing on the issue.

So to recap they campaign on issues important to the voters to get votes then never spend any capital to enact or protect the issue. I call that a RINO…
