Ooooo, old thread revive. Yep, roadside find probably 10 years ago. Took it home, cleaned it up, paid a buddies dad to put a good edge on it (i was 17 and didnt know how to sharpen knives). Some years later i got tired of it floating around my pocket so i drilled and tapped it, made a clip for it out of an old sawzall blade, and finished it off with some brass screws to match. Its from 81-86, but thats about all i know. Carry it daily along side a leatherman wingman.

Is that a Buck?
Looks a lot like Shrade style bolsters.
Doesn't everyone ?I keep kicking around the idea of a 110 auto.
Anybody have one? (Did not look at every post in the thread)
A good knife and a good pistol belong in leather. Buck 110's are the 1911 of knives.View attachment 171407
Not a 110....but only five away!
I think I am going to start adding this to the hunt kit for getting through the sternum/rib in field dressing.
I still like leather sheaths MUCH more than nylon, plastic, etc. YMMV.

It opens very fast and strong. Still, there's a warning that the knife is not to be used for "heavy duty". (whatever that means)How fast and strong is the opening of the blade?
