Facebook.com is now for sale and the entire database of Facebook users with passwords is now up and searchable on a dark web site I visit to keep track of these things.

    change your passwords folks.

So, the "dark web" is a real thing. Huh. I thought that only existed on NCIS ...

Any way to confirm this is a hack? It would explain FB being down, likely deliberately pulled the plug to sever the hackers access.

Still too soon. Only info out there hasnt been digested by the professional talking heads yet.

But I get the feeling my Darkweb report is gonna get a LOT longer in the coming days. We subscribe to a service that watches for our domains and alerts us when one of our users pops up on their radar.

your just gonna have to take my word on it. I’m not sharing my source because it’s a hosting platform for this type of thing.

plus playing on some of these sites without proper protection or the right platform is a good way to get yourself hacked.

Anything to worry about if you deleted your account over six months ago?
I would suspect FB would keep "deleted" accounts and associated posts, pictures, messages available in an archive for a period of time. You're never truly deleted off of FB. I think it'd be prudent to exercise caution regardless.
