Which one do you have a stock pile of ammunition for 6.5 Creedmoor or 308 Winchester/7.62×51?

If it's neither I'd go with something else.

Starting to look like the Ruger 10/22 maybe the go to battle rifle soon followed by airguns, and sling shots.

Point taken. There for a while it seemed 6.5 C was being made of unobtainium. Now it's being made of left kidneyum.

If I were starting out and wanted a wholly new platform, I'd go 6.5CM 100% in a bolt gun.

But if I wanted a semi-auto gas gun, it'd be a FAL or one of the pricy KAC guns in .308. Nothing else.

I have 6.5 Creedmoor already and I buy more whenever I find it. But the same time I can find 7.62 x 51. I didn't know if anyone had experience with an AR-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I personally I have not shot one in 6.5 cm yet. And yes 10/22 is what our government wants us all to have.

If you have 6.5 Creedmoor then stick with it. It's a better long distance round and iirc it starts beating the 7.62x51mm at around 800-900 yards and beyond. I'm talking match grade ammo comparison.

If I was starting out new I'd have went 6.5 Creedmoor, but I'm to heavily invested in 7.62x51mm to change now.

Anyone have any thoughts on psa?
Not ti be nosey but try to help you get the best for your money. How much can you spend on a new upper? Or rifle?

$734.99 unless you can get their military discount of 10% less

    $714.99

    $419.99

For around $1200 you can step up to Aero Precision quality. I do believe you have to buy your own bcg and charging handle for the upper. But I always do anyway so figured that in as well.
