Not even talking about the flag, but I find it interesting how worked up some of y'all get over homosexuality. Why do you care so much?

Morality, ethics, principle. We cannot as a nation accept filth and immorality, much less try to make it "normal". Grown people will do what they`re going to do, behind closed doors. So be it. But do NOT shove it in our faces, tell us that we MUST not only accept it, but denounce anyone who takes exception to it, and more than anything else, don`t say that Holy Scripture is "hate speech" because Almighty-God condemns perversion.

There's no way it's a choice. I've talked to people who are gay and they have told me it's how they have been all along, no more of a choice on their part than being hetero is to me. There's no way a truly hetero person can just one day say, "I'm going to go out and do a guy (or girl)." Not one hetero person here could do that. As for the flag at the U.N., I don't care who's gay, it doesn't belong there any more than a BLM flag or a KKK flag does. But given the current administration I'm not even surprised. Stupid and bass-ackwards is the norm for them.

We`re all sinners, me included and most especially me. Sin is to be condemned and righted, NOT celebrated and normalized. To say, go and sin no more is part of it, but the first part is forgiveness. Forgiveness can only occur when it`s acknowledged that sin is unacceptable, we feel remorse for our sin, and we seek to refrain from sinning. Don`t tell my grandkids that there are many genders, that your "feelings" rather than your DNA determine your gender, or that perversion is natural, normal and acceptable. Do what you`re going to do between 2 consenting ADULTS, and keep it to yourselves.

From one Christian to another, I'd recommend checking out Preston Sprinkle's Center for Faith, Sexuality, and Gender and his podcast Theology in the Raw. He's a firm believer in the historical Christian view of marriage and the belief that homosexuality is a sin. The difference is that he's trying to understand it and help people in their struggles in a way that's not belittling or demeaning.

Wouldn't you agree that the church should be a safe place for people struggling with sin and looking for grace? Is calling someone filthy and immoral and telling them that their human desires are imaginary creating that safe place for trying to find redemption, truth and grace?

You can't just simply tell someone, "The Bible says it's a sin" if they have no respect for the Bible. And without being able to sit and talk, where each person feels respected, can you get to that point.

What I commented on is in the bible and can be read, so again, that's a fact, not an opinion. I've probably read more of the bible than you and most of your church brethren have, because you guys skip the parts that don't support your views and take the parts that do support your views completely out of context.
