The only way this would be fair would be to stage it. Each president (not term, so no individual president could choose more than 1*), starting with 47, gets 1 nomination. No more.


That is the only way I could see this being fair. (just like some bodies can vote for a raise, but it doesnt kick in until after the next election) Biden doesnt get to actually pick one, and no one president gets to choose multiples. Oh, and if somebody leaves, that nomination will tie them up. if they havent already picked their extra. (e.g. Harris (47) is sworn in. Kagan gets hit by a bus, that's her 1. But if she gets her extra in first, she can also replace the late Kagan as well. )

*Though I wouldnt put it past the Dems to get the nomination, resign, VP advances, is considered a new prez, and gets a 2nd +1. Lather rinse repeat until they've managed to tilt the court in their favor.

I think generally people are just upset that Trump lost. There’s some sort of weird romance going on with his supporters. Biden will leave office, some GOP guy will win the WH again in the future; and everyone will find a new conservative to love. When the WH switches again, people will again complain about “losing the country,” communist, and fema camps. It’s just a cycle.
