Does he need to be locked up? Well, if you have evidence of a crime, file charges and prosecute him. That’s how we do it in a constitutional Republic under the rule of law, rather than the whims of ideologues.

The president is calling for stronger background checks and increased prosecution for lying on 4473s while his son is in trouble for doing precisely that and has not seen a jail cell or a court room.

And you expect me to believe we have a justice system where such a silly suggestion is even possible? :laugh6:

So you’re just arguing for the trollz?
You don’t think that when someone makes a point, then someone else argues the contrary to just that one point, it’s a legitimate critique? Now I’m being specific here too. When I say “legitimate” I mean whether the point is arguable, nit that the argument produced a true answer.

That’s a different argument altogether. But if I’m going to advocate for a republican form of government, and the rule of law, I’m going to uphold consistency in that. I’m not just going to claim it when I feel like wrapping my ass in the flag.

I have no idea of what the extent of Chipman's participation was in the Waco killings at the hands of the ATF but I do question his depraved mindset when he posed for the picture.

It's going further than just posing for a picture. He's doing it with a long gun in his hand like a proud hunter taking down an 8 point buck.

    I'm a pragmatist.

I know that no matter how much ideological BS I throw at the system, it's on deaf ears. So I adapt to the situation and move forward with the ground rules that have been established.

You can't have anything close to a free country without some principles. Principles aren't necessarily ideological BS. It's better to keep emotions out of it. That's a principle not based on ideology.

One thing the picture proves for sure is that he was there and he had a rifle. He very well may have used that rifle. The photo itself speaks to his depraved indifference no matter what happened and he should have to answer for that.

It calls in to question his character for the selection of his ATF nomination whether he used the rifle or not.

That along with the other two issues that I previously raised concerning his nomination should be the focus of the Senate confirmation hearing.

We don't have a free country.

The time for those sorts of things are when we rebuild this country.
I didn't say we have a free country. I said anything close to a free country. And if we start using the same policies as the people who are against a free country, it'll just be a different tyranny.

He's really too light and single focused to run the agency, it covers more squares than guns. Add that to the baggage and you wonder who advised Joe to select him.

I still want to know who he ran off of the stage to rub elbows with at the end of his spew.
