Most of the newer INGO'ers and those from long ago with low post counts crawling out of the wood work aren't here for the community.
Did they ever! And it sucks for those new users who did come here for the community.

Yes, free market, if you don't like the price in the Classifieds don't say anything, and all that, but those users are a blight; I hope we can all agree on that.

    Lushamania - agreed.

I'm new in multiple ways to this forum in that I'm new to gun ownership as well. I dont have a lot of experience to add to discussions, but read a lot and learn what I can.

That being said - These ammo prices are killing the jump off point for us newbs haha.
Considering when I find 22lr ammo for $0.16pr I jumped on it.

The take away I get from all the conversations about ammo is that when it goes back down (hopefully) to learn to stock up when the price is right. And don't you dare complain if you had that opportunity and didn't.

BigErn, I understand and do feel bad for the brand new gun owner. But you see what is going on right now. Everyone that was here during Obama, especially the Sandy Hook or New Town panic, should have been well prepared unless they just don't take being able to shoot as an important thing in life. And that is fine.

Meh. We need all the activity in the classys that we can get. It's been slower and slower for a long time.

Man ain't that the truth though. I've not been around for very long, but the BST here has really paled in comparison to all the other statewide/regional forums I've been a member of in the places I've lived ... especially pre-COVID.

I have let a little bit of ammo go to friends and family, not large quantities and certainly not at the prices people are gouging people for these days, was just recently offered 80 bucks for a brick of blazer .22. Decided i am not selling anymore at present, just going to hoar it, but i do have a excess of lc 7.62x51 i might get rid of.

I just gouged the crap out of someone this morning. I sold them my dogecoin for a $300 profit. The market said it was worth that, so that's what I took for it.

For me, that price don't exist.

If I have an excess of one caliber and a deficit of another... I'll trade with someone who's in an opposite position. For most, whether it's old price to old price, or new price to new price, it's a wash since just about everything is "crazy".

For those guys who are stacked to the ceiling deep and considering selling some at the high market prices for a profit... kudos to them. That's how markets work and they actually ADD to the supply available.

Don't like the prices, don't buy it... that subtracts from the demand.
This is kind of where im at

I recently sold some 7.62x39 for quadruple what I paid for it. I bought a really nice set of vintage stereo speakers with the windfall. The offer was made, and I accepted it. I do not feel one bit of remorse.
This is where I am at. If some dude wants to pay 800 bucks for a case of 9mm I bought for 169 last year then yay me and whatever. I stacked very deep in 9mm for the last few years and I am debating about letting 4 or 5 cases go to pay for my New Outdoor Wood boiler being delivered this week. I will not shed one tear for my preparedness. BooHoo.

But I didn't come on here trying to butt in and prematurely speak for everyone. You certainly don't speak for me because I think you're a Biden voting communist here to stir the pot.
The only pot stirring going on right now is by you. With that, you’re going on my “Ignore” list. I would strongly advise you to do the same to me and let the Moderators handle the rest.

Now can we get back to the topic on hand, please?
