Yah, I would unload my whole stash at that price! I agree that is totally insane!.22 ammo at 25 cents per
It's not too hard to find 9mm online for $0.38-$0.40 cpr regularly. Prices are definitely starting to come down. Of course, not as quickly as I'd like! Was at Bud's Gun Shop in Sevierville, TN last week and they had 9mm for $24.99 , the "cheapest" I have seen since the craziness started. Still passed on it.
At Rural King in Munice they had 22lr at $8.99 a box , plenty of it there. They can keep that stuff at that price.
Seeing it myself for .28 a round but if you look at ammoseek sellers the shipping is awful, had one place that wanted a 129.00 to ship 1000 rounds that was just the shipping price7.62x39 seems to be dropping the fastest. I've seen it as low as $5.79 a box of 20. I may need to get a bolt action Ruger, or CZ in 7.62x39 to take advantage. Or am I forming an elaborate excuse to buy another rifle?
Exactly why I haven't bought more yet. If it were only 20 for shipping, I'd have a case coming my way since I go through it a lotSeeing it myself for .28 a round but if you look at ammoseek sellers the shipping is awful, had one place that wanted a 129.00 to ship 1000 rounds that was just the shipping price
Used car market looks just as bad.I gave away like 3k rounds of 556 like a year ago.
I didn't realize I could have bought a used Toyota with it now.
I think we are too quick to blame the ammo availability/price crisis on one thing.Used car market looks just as bad.
Federal's production is back up to speed and prices are falling forcing others to offer sales. Well, everywhere but gun shows. Those sellers will have to adjust prices pretty soon in order to sell anything.I was at the gun show in Wayne Co. near Richmond and prices were and remain ridiculous. I mean CCI .22 LR mini-mags $25/100. Seriously? 9mm $30+/50 for 115 “no name”!!! .223/5.56 close or at $20/20. Ah, nope, not buying that! $1+/round most all center fire rifle. Fuggedabout it! Oh and in case you vendors didn’t think I noticed, the firearm prices were even more ridiculous. One example. - $469 for a basic Ruger 10/22. Really?
At those prices I'm not surprised it's sitting on the shelves!5.56 American Eagle 55 gr at Cabelas yesterday for $74.99 box of 100. They had some generic target ammo of 223 for $89.99 for box of 150. Plenty of both on the shelves.
...yeah but most of those inflated gun show price tags are from Jan '13. they had a small window of opportunity last year and if they haven't sold their Obama-era 22lr yet they'll have to wait for the next crisis/shortage.Well, everywhere but gun shows. Those sellers will have to adjust prices pretty soon in order to sell anything.
Wow, I just sold out of Winchester M193 at the store today for 63 cents per round and I thought THAT was expensive. It seems to get a little cheaper every time the truck comes though, so things are improving.Winchester M193 150 round packs are $100 at Cabelas today. That's 67 cents per round which is the lowest I have seen at that store. Still way too high but it continues to slowly inch downward.
