Having a hard time following all this one...if the shooter first chased down someone and shot him then any subsequent shootings could not be justified self defense if people reacted to the unjustified shoot. Maybe I am mistaken in my understanding of the events and timeline.

There is no fruit of the poisonous tree exclusion, counselor. :)

Each and every time his life is threatened, he can defend himself.

It appears that he did'nt run after the first guy to shoot him. The first guy shot was chasing him and trying to accost him for who knows what reason.

Well earlier he was demanding that someone shoot him.

He was clearly a mentally sound upstanding member of society.

It seems to me that the shooter was trying to disengage and was pursued by the red shirt guy. Correct?

The dude was chased and threatened, he defended himself. Should he have been there, I don’t know, but that is the same as victim shaming. He had a right to be there. The rioters were wrong and he was right. We, as a group must come to the. Conclusion that deadly force is justified when thugs try to harm us. Period, end of statement.

There is a lesson here oft repeated in firearms classes about not assuming that you know what is going on. If you came upon the guy shot in the head, and the "kid with rifle" is clearly not law enforcement, it would be easy to assume he was a bad guy.

Still would be a bad idea to start a rifle fight with a pistol or a skateboard, but my point is those 2 people might have had the best of intentions in chasing down what they thought was the bad guy.

Have you not watched the videos? You're going to feel very embarrassed about that statement once you watch them.

It's plausible. I'll give you that.

Now that I’m out of the “business,” (kind of), I’m not putting myself in that kind of situation, unless it’s friends or family being placed at risk. And you better be a GOOD friend that’s return all my tools, and paid back borrowed money. And if you’re family, and you didn’t speak to me at the last reunion, you’re on your own.... unless you’re an old-timer with dementia.
