Okay folks... this is serious. It just happened to my wife and I. This is not one of those things you see posted that came from God knows where. It happened to us.
My wife got a phone call today from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. (Yes, THEIR caller ID!) She let it go to voice mail. She listened to the voice mail which told her to contact Sgt. James Neil on his direct line 317-300-5865. She called me asking what I had done now, lol! So I had her do a 3 way call so I could listen and we called him back. He did not answer. While we were still on the phone he called her back and she put the call in 3 way mode again. He advised the call was being recorded for her safety and asked if she was familiar with the address xyz (Our address) and she responded yes. He advised her she missed a court date for a federal grand jury, and he was wanting to know why she did not show up for court. Of course my wife explained she had no notification of court. He advised her she had been issued a summons, and because it was a federal summons, two officers would have delivered it to her personally on (some date in February) and she had to sign for it. She denied ever doing so. The kind Sgt. then advised there were 2 misdemeanor warrants issued for her arrest, but based on her denial of service, they would not serve them if she would do a signature verification at the Sheriff's office. She agreed to do so. I had been silent until now and jumped in. I told the BS Sgt. I wanted the name and phone number of his immediate supervisor. He responded without missing a beat "He's standing here right next to me... would you like to speak to him?" I said: "No, I want to call the Sheriff's office and be transferred to him." There was a brief pause and then the nice Sgt. said "Suck my $#%@ old man!" and hung up!
Ladies and gents I guarantee you he and/or his flunkies were waiting nearby to watch her leave on her wild goose chase to the Sheriff's Office, so that they could break into our home. My wife was smart in feeling something wasn't right.
So to prevent this guy from using this phone again (His voice mail is very professional!) please call and text this number as often as possible. At the very least he will have to buy a new burner. Please have fun with it! Again, the number is 317-300-5865. And no, this is not a late April fools joke and he is not a real cop. All the appropriate authorities have been notified.
It is also possible he was going to try to get money out of her by paying fines or something over the phone. Anyway.. BEWARE!
