I looked up some past pandemics here is what I found.

    Some pandemics in the past.
The Spanish Flu (1918-1920) it killed up to 100 million people worldwide.
The Asian Flu (1956-1958) killed an estimated four million people globally with the death toll in the United States alone approaching 70,000.
The Hong Kong Flu (1968-1969) killed a million people worldwide, and an estimated 100,000 people in the United States.
    That’s racist

my wife is a social worker in a nursing home and has been told that if a resident tests positive for covid-19 (while shes at work) she will be quarantined in the building for 14 days, and that if she leaves, a sheriff will be dispatched to pick her up and bring her back to the building, she was told that over a week ago, now they are taking all the employees temp before they enter the facility, and if they have a temp, they're sent home.

yesterday, the director of all the Indiana buildings (they're a multistate corporation) told them in a conference call (all the department heads at her building) that he fully expects a resident to test positive by the end of the week

so if that happens, anything she needs (she has been advised by the company to pack a bag just incase) will have to be brought to her, and left outside for her to pick up.

I said baby don't worry, if the quarantine you, when I drop off your stuff, i'll stand outside holding my phone above my head and play "in your eyes" by Peter Gabriel...its against forum rules to tell you what she said! :D

Tell her you're going to start kickboxing, the sport of the future.

So how does me going fishing put anybody else in danger?

Possibly not but if they call for a travel ban as you say you will ignore (and I understand but) and many others do as well what do you think is next.....?????

Solid question. Our elected officials are on a control roll. It will get ugly if we let it I am sure.

    Sorry to hear that.

And this is the first report that I heard that the victim was already in poor health. Gee, I wonder if its coincidental that the media didnt report that VERY relevant fact?

Well, the news conference mentioned that she had underlying conditions. They can't be too specific because of privacy laws.
