I was just thinking about you an hour ago. I realized my earlier statement about thinking we have enough vents on hand.....I retract that statement. I failed to remember this is a world wide situation.

    I stand corrected.

No correction needed. The USA has plenty of vents under normal circumstances. This pandemic is something new. No nation had the foresight to store 100 thousand or more ventilators for this particular event.

We were about half at maybe 100, but everyone had their space. It was pretty much a touchless service, that word was used a lot. No fear mongering or guilt, just grace and it was nice.

All elbow bumps and smiles. There was some discussion pre-service about taking temps?

If i'm reading it right the total number of cases and new cases between the two dates don't add up. :dunno:
yes, the numbers seem, well, just numbers. Someone had posted this site for statistics. It’s good to have those numbers copied so we can compare them over time.
I will try to keep the numbers going every 2 days to see if these statistics even tell us some facts. And if the site is worth anything.

I had thought about that as well, standing there with my automotive IR temp reader, but it seems so marshal lawish or something. Anyway by then it’s way to late to take temps, IMO.

We’re contagious for two weeks prior to showing symptoms. That’s why we discouraged compromised or vulnerable people from showing up, but a lot of them were there.

Seems weird that I just switched from 3rd person to 1st but we might be at that point.

The New York governor is on now and making a lot of sense. He knows we are in trouble. He is calling for a complete shutdown of the country. He said if I do something here in New York then people will just drive to Connecticut. We all have to act together to shut it all down. He said they only have 600 ICU and already they have 60 covids in the ICU.

this is INGO! if I wanted a reasonable response I’d go to another website. Let the fear an panic flow through you!!!

I'm pretty terrified of what garbage Nutsy may have also stuffed in there.

Free coronavirus testing, via Google, and don't worry about this chip we're installing rectally.

It hasn’t been all that bad on here, why bring it here? It serves no point.

They take my wife's temp at work prior to starting. Everyone is joking about it because they walk from the parking lot to the door and it's winter! Their forehead will be cold.

At church they did start taking children's temp with the digital forehead reader. With the low turnout today, it was very easy and not time consuming. We discussed doing it for all, but not sure if they will or not. One concern is what if they refuse?

It's all new for all of us as we try to be compliant, safety minded without being insulting. Tough times....hope as a country we get over this curve quickly; without problems.

Hard to believe that all of the communist states would respond to an "emergency" with insane totalitarian restrictions.

If I spent my life worrying about what IL and NY are doing I wouldn't have time to inventory my TP hoard.

Yes, a food worker could pass an infection by coughing on your food. But at least without people going in and out of the restaurant the food worker is a lot less likely to get infected to begin with. And there aren't people breathing on each other, except the employees. It doesn't eliminate the problem. It does reduce it though.
