She's an amazing woman...Her mother's line, not mine....

One late afternoon, I was driving home from work, listening to an interview on NPR. It was Temple Grandin talking about her book "Thinking in Pictures".

    It changed my life.

Another Grandin quote I like from her TED talk, I don't remember the exact wording, but I remember her sentiment: "When people ask me if I think they will someday cure autism, I tell them, You better hope they don't, you don't know how many wonderful world-changing ideas come from geeky, nerdy people on the autism spectrum".

I had been planning to stop in the shop today and personally give my congratulations on this, Rick, but I have a bad cold and can’t string many words together without a coughing spell. Anyway, yep, very dusty around the house, I’ve reread your post quite a few times, and that damn dust gets me every time. So happy for Eva and your entire family, what a night! Very proud of her school mates, too.

That's OK, Tommy, I went by today and "repped" him for all of us!

And if you think it's hard to hold back the tears when you read Eva's story, it's amazing to hear Rick retell it in person.

What an awesome story! The creator of the universe took the time to show you how important you, and your daughter are to Him, and showed you just the tiniest glimpse of His glory. Now think about what it will be like when we see it in in its entirety! Of course, we can't even begin to imagine it.

Wow!!! So glad you shared this!

Thanks for bumping this BT, VERY cool story. Belated congrats Indi!!

+1. Thanks, BT. Very inspirational for those of us that missed it the first time around. The Good Lord does provide glimpses of the Glory to come. I've had a few in my time, but none as vivid as this. You're truly blessed, Indy, to see The Light. I'm curious if anyone else has ever mentioned it, or was it only you and your wife, who know her best? In any case, thanks for sharing your wonderful story.
