To balance the score, good guys get two last night (note the "no guns" signage in the window of the front door in the top photograph): 2 would-be robbers shot to death at South Side liquor store in Chicago: police - Chicago Tribune

They posted on FB? That gets the message out there I guess.

So the guy in the van was an uncle to the two suspects? Hmmm, me thinks the fix was in. He should be questioned as an accomplice in my non-attorney opinion.

Also liked that someone crossed the tape to yell at the LEO for not being there. They were not needed until after the fact because nobody else has the tape that says POLICE LINE - DO NOT CROSS.

    Q: Where were they (LEO)?

A: They were responding to a 9-1-1 call on an attempted liquor store robbery that went bad for the 2 offenders!

So the store owners are armed, and have already killed three would be robbers in two years, but don't want any other citizens carrying in their store. :n00b:

MC, it's Chicago. Tiny Dancer leans on all businesses to prohibit guns in their stores or inspectors will be sent over, every day.

In Chicago we don't want anyone that nobody sent. Thou shall not defy the machine.

Uh, teens were thirsty.............pork rinds and a bottle of water...............so they go (one of them armed) to fetch snacks and drink at a liquor store?

How many laws broken.........before the robbery/attack?

Don't you have to be over 21 to enter a liquor store?
Don't you need to be at least 18 for a handgun permit?

How the article written........"momma cried"............... she should.

Because she most probably failed as a parent.

    C'mon Chicago.............I knew you'd break 500 for 2015. Let's go for a record 2016!

Are self defense shootings really considered homicides? Me thinks they need a better classification system... I vote for "heard thinning ".

So instead of saying " it was a robery where 2 homicides happened "

    it would become

" it was a robery where 2 heard thinning incidents took place"

Every state should have the 10-20-life law like Florida. I grew up there and was there for when they enacted it. There was a big public campaign to let people know it was coming then a few months prior to it being in effect they put the posters up by the doors at gas stations and liquor stores. From what I remember there was almost instant success with it, of course, some didn't believe it or had to try it out. But But crime did drop considerably then they enacted Castle Doctrine and another law that keeps the families of killed robbers from suing the victim for wrongful death.

I think it is still two homicides... the uncle should be charged with the deaths.
