So, while driving down to Nashville last week, we stopped in Cave Creek, Kentucky for gasoline and a bathroom break. Coming out of the washroom, I spied "Ale 8" ginger ale. Being a fan of ginger ales, I scooped up a couple of six packs.

This stuff is great. Can I buy it in Indiana?

I may have to have it shipped to me.

It's a central KY thing. Did you get a glass bottle, can or plastic? The glass bottles do taste better. If you don't want to go back down to KY to get any you might find them at Jungle Jim's in Cinci. I've never seen them here in Indiana.

    Really? Carmel?

Yep, I get a couple every visit. 12 oz. green glass bottles.

I think it may just be a limited time thing, they're up by the counter behind the soda cooler on a shelf with other small label sodas. They're warm... but still good none-the-less.

I've located it here in Indy...they must buy it on Amazon...anyway: Citgo station at 465 and 56th Street. They usually have a few six packs of glass bottles.

Oooooh, you've just discovered Kentucky Sodapop! :koolaid:
If you order it, watch out for the shipping charges. They approach highway robbery rates.

If there are some confirmed Indiana sources (more than a couple six-packs), I'd love to hear about them. A road-trip from DaRegion isn't worth it for a just a few bottles.

In the state of KY is the best bet: South Louisville, Lexington. I tend to fill the truck bed every time I'm south of The River. :spend:
Kroger's and Meijer's carry, but to be honest some stores have only 4 six-packs while others have 20+.

I've also had some success in the Cincy area, and as far north as Dayton. Apparently the Cincy Coca-Cola distributor carries this fine elixir.

I'll confirm that the glass bottles taste better than the cans, even if they're heavier to transport.
Though, you've not really had Ale-8 until it comes out of a returnable 16oz bottle on the porch of some backwoods bait shop. :alcoholic:

There isn't a Citgo station at 465 and 56th on the E side...you must be thinking of the Marathon...

Marathon gas station by Lawrence Central High School has it.
