Heard second hand that a cafe owner on Mass ave had 9 people (this week) threaten to boycott their restaurant if they didn't put a 'we serve everyone' sticker in the window.
The cafe owner asked 'Why? We've been serving you all of this time? Why would I stop now?'

If that got them death threats, I'd call that unpopular. Then again any idiot with a keyboard can send a death threat. It's a hot button issue obviously. It's not a good decision as an Indiana business owner to come out and say "I will not serve a gay wedding for religious reasons" because of angry citizens who are dumb enough to send a death threat. It's not right, I agree, to get death threats because of a belief. Somebody didn't have their thinking cap on is all.

That's probably the biggest part of it. A very vocal minority gets all the media attention. There don't seem to be any rational-thinking people on the other side of this... The business says they will never refuse to serve anyone, including LGBT customers. They just have the one small issue of catering a hypothetical gay wedding (which they've never been asked to do). This reporter sought them out to drum up some sort of controversy.

Job done. Re-affirms my lasting and ever burning hatred for the media.

I you feel like you have to post a sticker to prove your support for the LGBTQ community, I don't want to be your customer.

If you want to support the family currently under attack for their religious beliefs, you can donate here if that's your thing. Saw this go by on my feed.

I like a good buycott to oppose a boycott.
Love some of the yelp comments. The proprietors did'nt bring up anything about catering a gay wedding. They were set up by the reporter that asked the question if they would ever cater a gay wedding and they answered the question that was posed.

“Wally G” said, “Five stars for the proprietors imagining that a gay wedding would ever require the catering services of a local pizza joint. Ha-ha. ”

“Bruce L” added, Terrible place, owners chose to be heterosexual. The biggest bigots are the most closeted. No gay man or woman is going to order pizza for a wedding. These people should be put out of business .

Yeah I'm getting a bit fed up with the sticker too. Kinda like a reverse yellow Star of David armband. Those who don't post it on their front door will be punished. I hope most businesses ignore it.

    .
All this reverse discrimination and the forcing of tolerance down my throat is giving me flashbacks of how straight people were sometimes treated in CA.
It's so ridiculous that people would think you're making it up.
But this is Indiana! What the hell? :(

Or the media since they made this story up apparently. Don't talk to media (this coming from someone who works in it and seen what happens at times).
If I was in a situation like that and a reporter showed up and asked questions like that to set me up I would tell them to GTFO. It's blatantly obvious what the reporter was there to do and that was to try and get an establishment that supported the RFRA to make a comment and then they could say. "There it is folks! There is your proof that this new law would lead to discrimination!" When in fact the comments that were made had nothing to do with the RFRA that the reporter purposely tried to make a connection to.

    Despicable.
