At least two students were shot, and they are being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. There was no immediate word on their conditions.

Witnesses said the shooting took place in the school cafeteria. The shooter is believed to be still at large.

At least 20 police cars and multiple ambulances are responding to the incident.

I (respectfully) disagree. It is a disaffectedness problem. Its just that a significant number of kids in their teen years go through that disaffected/emotionally disconnected/alienated phase. Maybe mix in some depression and/or addiction issues (hard to distinguish between the 2 sometimes) and you get a kid that wants to vent, but doesn't have the controls to keep from doing something REALLY bad.

Besides, I'm not sure how to expect the media to report on something newsworthy without reporting the who/what/where.

Teens have always felt like the world is against them.

It seems a few more today than in the past believe that they are so important and other's lives are so unimportant that killing is an acceptable response to pain.

Culture of killing for convenience, no eternal significance to life, pushing "love yourself" as the greatest value......never could have seen this "trend" coming.

I think that the first is a huge part of the problem. The shooter will be infamous and talked about around the world. They really need to change how these stories are covered. A start would be to keep it local. A single murder suicide should not be national news, especially not 24/7 as this will no doubt be. Of course the media will want to push their anti-gun agenda with it.

Witness tells CNN the alleged Marysville Pilchuck shooter was a popular student but had recently been the victim of bullying.

According to an interview between Shepard Smith and a student , apparently the shooter was a Native American . He had been in a fight a day or two before .

Being that he is a Native American I doubt the libtards will get too crazy with the gun control talk or blast his name for weeks .
