If I'm not really wanting to have a buyer come to my house, where could I go if I was selling a handgun?

I'm planning on selling a Walther PPS through the forums here when I get my 50 posts in but I'm wondering where I'd even do this at???

I always use a busy, public parking lot, but kind of removed from the main traffic portion so as to not cause alarm to nosy bizzy bodies who thrive on the 3 magic numbers...911.

A local gun range is a good spot. I bought a rifle of off the forums at the INGO members outdoor range and didn't have any second thoughts when I showed up carrying cash. If it was a Home Depot/mall parking lot it would have been a different story.

I have used a parking lot at McDonalds, Walmart, Bob Evans, Golden Corral, and Lowes. I always meet in what I consider to be a good part of town, during daylight hours, and I always take a friend for back up. Plan ahead so you can park in a location where the security video is working, too. It helps to talk a bit in advance to the buyer. Learn enough about him to have confidence in him. Check out his INGO rating as a seller/buyer, and read through his posts. If anything makes you think twice, cancel the deal or arrange to meet in an LGS where you have made arrangements with the owner to serve as FFL. The FFL fee is well worth the extra security.

    Similar to others:
Wal Mart parking lot, grocery store lot, & my LGS is ok with me using their parking lot (I always ask first, money ends up going there anyway).
I read some of their posts, thus far, mine have been great transactions.

I like to do my deals in wide open spaces. I always let the other person arrive first so I have an opportunity to fly my camera equipped drone over to check the area before going in. I usually drop off a buddy with a rifle as an overwatch just in case things go bad, because you know there is going to be at least one gun there. Once there, I don't waste a lot of time checking the gun out, because most likely I am just going to flip it anyway. I do my quick lowball offer, because I never bring enough money and usually walk away with a deal.

Or you could do it in a Walmart parking lot, that seems like it might work too.

Rest area bathtooms. Exchange gun and money beneath stall divider. Make sure to have an agreed signal otherwise things can get weird.

My local Police Station is about 2 blocks away, so I have met there in the parking lot before. I also like well lit highly visible public areas. If I'm buying a handgun and it is from someone I have never met or someone I do not know very well, I have them meet me at the LGS and we do the paperwork.

Anywhere public, however I actually had a member here want to meet, AT A SCHOOL!
He said "it's cool I've meet people there before"! We did NOT meet at his school of choice!
Use your head, ask the right questions before you meet up. While 99.9% of INGO members are great a little common sense will go a long way to keeping you safe and having a good experience.

I prefer Walmart parking lots or Speedway gas stations. Both have a lot of traffic and video surveillance on their lots as a piece of mind factor. But with that being said I have never had a bad interaction with an INGOer.....
