No matter what the verdict I expect random violence against people caught in a bad place. Riots no, but wildings and random violence YES.
    This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    And......
Large riots in parts of the country where firearms are accessible, and Citizens can carry in Public, will likely result in many injured/dead rioters.
That's why large scale riots don't happen in States like Indiana!!
The unarmed States and Cities on the other hand may see violence if there is an acquittal.
As far as I'm concerned if that's the price they pay for voting idiots into office.:noway:

Considering there are no living participants left, there is no one to deliver or accept forgiveness. People like to pretend though.

As far as it goes "we" forgive "you" for starting the whole thing to begin with.

    Actually Lincoln started it.

And if the war was over slavery ( it was not) look up who owned most of the slave ships. Hint it was not southerners.

Very true yet most will not believe that.

Yeah, I have had the conversation more than once with those who are smarter than everyone.
It was found not long ago That old Abe was wanting to round up all the slaves and people of color and boat them to south America. Can not find the link but it was in the news sometime back.

What if there are people in those states who voted for pro-liberty candidates who are harmed by these theoretical riots?

If they are smart they have guns. Sadly those pro liberty people are often the "reparations" that are disarmed to be victims while the liberal whites are in the most exclusive neighborhood that is someone even saw someone who looked like "they did not belong" the cops would swoop down. Sadly the liberals will either be rioting or protected by private security or being in "non diverse" neighborhoods.

I have looked it up. I've read the declarations of secession. I'm asking: are your preceeding 6 issues present in the declarations of secession? If so can you list them so I can grep the declarations?

Not that the question was posed to you, but if I pretend you wrote that in the way I suspect you meant it, if these people use guns to protect themselves and end up in trouble over the matter, is that the price of their living where they do?

I'm starting to become fascinated by the city vs. "country" mentality that seems very strong here.

Having been raised in the country and then the city with strong ties to both there is a very different mentality. Has to be just to survive.

To the extent that there is any habitable "country" left in the midwest, I was reared there too. I now live inside the loop in Marion county.

They can do as President Reagan advised.
Vote with their feet and move from those cesspools.
    Or.....
They can take whatever legal steps are available to see that the Socialist elements of their Government are removed from office.
Recalls where available, or failing that, removal from office in the next election.
    Personally, I'd move!

I don't think there will be any rioting around Lowell. I hope I am not at work if a not guilty verdict is read. At my work location I have Ford Heights Il. in one direction and Sauk Village in the other.

I pray that Mr. Zimmerman is found not guilty, that it comes out he acted in self defense and he wins a great big settlement from the good taxpayers in Florida so he can live comfortably the rest of his life on the taxpayer paid lawsuit. I also dont care one bit if ignorant blacks decide to riot destroying their own stuff, let them and then jail whoever does the rioting.

    Gunner

Why would he get to sue the State of Florida?

He will get sued by the Martin family. I have no doubt about that. He will also probably get a reasonable settlement from NBC, making the whole thing a wash.

Personally, in South Bend, I have a very minimal fear of an uptick in violence, especially in some of the more minority-centric neighborhoods, and some of the lower income apartment complexes. I live in a decent neighborhood, but we do have a lower income complex just down the road, and on occasion crime spills over (IE, the first thing the police did after our car was broken into was walk around the apartment complex looking for any thing from our car, and sure enough, there was some things that had been tossed).

Im not preparing for riots or anything, Im planning on staying in that first night, making sure the outside lights are on, and double checking that the car alarms are working. If there are ANY incidents related to that case, I dont want to be the unlucky schmuck it happens to.

Are the preceeding 6 based on what is in the secession statements?

It was me that said #7 and that was a guess based on conversations I have had with a history professor while repairing his HVAC system. I could be wrong but if memory serves his list put slavery at that number. He was not the only person that has said this and all were educated far beyond my level.
As to the secession list of grievances I can not say.

I went through race riots in high school in Indy in the 70's they were real and they were scary. I hope it does not happen here, but never say never.

This statement is breathtaking in its ignorance.

I know for a fact these two factions are not fond of each other. Look around and listen. Hispanics in general do not like Blacks and a lot of Blacks hate the Hispanics.
I have heard this straight from both.
Not lumping all into the same profile but in conversations I have had there is no love lost.

    1. Indiana bled the most to defeat the South.
    2. Racial minorities were concentrated but not really ghettoized via de jure.
    3. Our economy provided opportunities across racial lines.
    4. The influence of the Klan while heavy was short.
    5. African-American society in Indianapolis was left unmolested and developed without interference (or help).

For a better understanding I would recommend:

John McWhorter's books: Losing the Race and Winning the Race.

Thomas Sowell: Black Rednecks and White Liberals.

Thank You and sounds like a interesting read.

Are the preceeding 6 based on what is in the secession statements?

Are these what you are talking about?

    http://www.civil-war.net/pages/ordinances_secession.asp

On a high level reading, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, and Mississippi definitely mention protection of the institution of slavery as a primary reason for their secession. The others, if the provided ordinances are complete, not so much. On another level though, the .gov's refusal to uphold their part of the Constitutional bargain they mutually agreed to upon admission, should be reason enough for aggreived states to secede if so motivated.
