I halfway gave up awhile ago, I saw one locally early last year. Why I didn't get it then I don't know but I smack myself quite often for letting it slip by. I went back the next day and it was long gone.

I want one so bad. I've tried finding them locally, but everytime I do they are sold out by the time I even hear about it.

Highsmiths in greenfield has one, I was in there yesterday, I BELIEVE it was $799.

i love my rugers, they make a great gun, WHEN they make guns!

if you really want one, and dont want to pay "scalpers prices" wait for whittakers in owensboro ky to get one, last i heard they were selling them for 599

They were listed for the VIP members only and were gone within a few hours of the listing. Small inventory plus panic buying = no way.

Been looking for a Commander myself for weeks. Last Friday right before I left work I did one general Google search for SR1911 Commander In Stock. About the 4th line down of the results was a listing, with a price from a shop putting out their recent arrivals, there was a Commander.

Problem was the post was 2 weeks old. I called anyway, still in the case Did I say this shop was in Anchorage, Alaska?
price was $660, I picked it up at the local shop on Tuesday.
