Well, I completely forgot I started this thread

Well, last night I picked up a pristine SA Bolt and Trigger group.
Also just ordered an english walnut stock from Wenig Custom Gunstocks - Home. When I receive it in a few weeks, I will get some pictures up. Next step is going to be to get a barrel. The gentleman who is guiding me through this process has me talked into one of these: M1 Garand G.I. Contour Barrel.

This will be a completely american sourced and built rifle.

I love this idea. Are you doing all the work (finishing the stock) yourself? Are all of the parts going to be new or refurbished? I am interested in how this turns our regardless. Thanks for posting your progress.

Well it has been a long while since my last update. Unfortunately life got in the way and I had to shelve this project for a couple months. Today, this beauty arrived. It is time to start working on the rifle
