In response to the first thread getting so crowded and difficult to follow (https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...g-uncivil-behavior-new-religious-threads.html) here is a new thread specifically to discuss aspects of this topic. As the weekend progresses I will attempt to pull the relevant bits out of the old thread and paste them into this one, in order to (attempt to) create one cohesive thread on the subject.

    Have at it, INGO:

Where's the one for science being religion?

Still wondering why there is a "vs".

I suppose we could debate Glocks vs. Helium just as effectively.

Guys, that is why I put that portion of the title in quotes. I am trying to continue the existing conversation, nothing more.

Shall I dim the lights? It seems like it may be getting close to nap time in here for some...

    Haha

I had the same thought about the title, but in a slightly different direction. Kinda like debating bacon v. sausage.

I think a lot of the discussion in the other thread also dealt with how Science and Religion co-exist, and how they aren't necessarily rivaling concepts.

    That's more like a history lesson. ;)

    Hrm...

To my mind it accords better with what we know of the laws impressed on matter by the Creator, that the production and extinction of the past and present inhabitants of the world should have been due to secondary causes, like those determining the birth and death of the individual
