    WHAT: ACT DR201 - Defensive Rifle 2
    WHEN: [STRIKE]25 SEPTEMBER 2011[/STRIKE] 06 NOV 2011- 0900 to 1700
    WHERE: Riley Conservation Club - near Terre Haute, IN
    TUITION: $145
    PREREQUISITES: DR101 (or an equivalebt) or consent of instructor

    Defensive Rifle 2 (DR201) builds on the foundation started in DR101. The majority of the class will be on the range with minimal classroom time. Students should be able to execute the skills from DR101 efficiently and on demand.

    EQUIPMENT LIST:




    REQUIRED ITEMS:
    • Eye protection
    • Hearing protection (suitable for use with rifle)
    • Rifle - repeater; must function reliably with your ammunition
    • Lubricant suitable for rifle (FP-10, WeaponShield, CLP, Slip-2000, etc.)
    • Magazines - Five (5) minimum; more is better
    • Magazine carrier on body (for at least one or two spare mags)
    • Sling - either a tactical sling or a simple carry strap
    • Ammunition - 500 rounds (generous estimate)
    • Reliable handgun with at least three (3) magazines (more is better); belt or IWB holster that covers the trigger guard and is rigid enough to reholster with one hand, and 100 rounds of ammunition.
    RECOMMENDED ITEMS:
    • Clothing appropriate for season, including hat with brim and rain gear
    • Comfort items (sunscreen, insect repellant, over the counter pain reliever, etc.)
    • Shooting mat, knee pads, elbow pads, gloves
    • Cleaning kit
    • Lunch; snacks and beverages (water will be provided)

    Also note that I added a requirement for a handgun, holster etc. Location and times are the same.

    Great class - we are all exhausted - but i am sure we all enjoyed it (almost) as much as i did ;-)

    I enjoyed the interaction and coaching - and in particular how safe it was.. say thanks to John for taking care of me.. i need to get one now
