At the very minimum, same-sex 'couples' cannot reproduce with congenital defects, which can cost lots to deal with, but it does display the up-teenthed degree of 'messed-up' that 'some' in our society is promoting nowadays!

Are you maybe confusing 1/2 kids with step kids?
Because the (step) kids from the Brady bunch is a little weird due to the social angle. But thats it. Nothing to worry about genetically.

What gets screwy genetically is when they are halvsies and both share the same DNA from one parent.

Um…they have the same dad…different moms, but the same dad…that’s what caused all the hemophilia in the czar’s family, and brittle bones and cleft lips, and hearing loss…and expressing love for your brother while fighting cops!
